SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Macy’s says it is permanently dumping Trump–his clothing line, anyway.
Macy’s actually dropped the line last year after Donald Trump called most Mexican immigrants rapists and criminals on the first day of his campaign.
On Thursday, Macy’s CEO said the department store has no plans to restore it now that the election is over.
In fairness, the Macy’s CEO told CNBC if Hillary Clinton had a suit line, they wouldn’t carry that either because it is not a political company.
The company’s position is that they don’t want to carry a product related to a prominent Republican or Democrat because half the population disagrees with their views.
Macy’s still carries Ivanka Trump’s line of clothing and accessories.
