MINNEAPOLIS, MN (WCMH) — Target announced that shoppers would no longer be able to buy clown masks at stores or online after the string of clown sightings around the country.

Target spokesperson Joshua Thomas told KARE that even though there were only a few selections of clown masks at stores, they have all been pulled. “There was a much broader assortment available on Target.com and we pulled a good portion of those masks as well,” Thomas said.

Clown sightings are becoming more and more common around the country, including in central Ohio.
